Celebrating One Year of Kiwanda Café
Happy birthday to us!
August 5th marks one year since Kiwanda Café opened its doors and what a first year it’s been.
Kiwanda Café has brought to life a connected dining and entertaining experience like no other; a hotspot for coffee and food lovers from near and far, we’ve relished each and every opportunity to connect with our community and bring people together.
Aside from delivering an individually perfect cup of coffee and exceptional food, Kiwanda Café has provided a space to relax, escape the day and enjoy the intricacies of the coffee world.
This year, we’ve hosted a variety of functions and events for our local community including staff parties, workshops, celebratory breakfasts and retirement parties.
It goes without saying that Kiwanda’s first year has had its challenges, primarily due to the unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19.
The global pandemic caused world-wide ripples and impacted the hospitality and dining industries in unique ways.
“We’re thankful that we could continue to serve our community during the height of these times and have taken great pride in being able to provide our Zarraffites with a sense of normality,” said Zarraffa’s Founder, Kenton Campbell.
“It’s been truly inspiring to witness our community come together and support one another during these times.”
“From customers who came into Kiwanda to pay for the rest of the queue’s coffee, those who went out of their way to abide by restrictions, and the workers on the frontlines who were stopping by for a hard-earned cup of normal, we were proud to recognise our local heroes by offering complimentary coffee to all Emergency Services and Health Care workers over this time.”
Reflecting on our first year and as we gradually return to normality after these unprecedented times, we would like to thank every single person who has come into Kiwanda Café in the past year.
