Partnering with Burleigh Brewing in 2010, Zarraffa’s Coffee continues to work with the renowned brewer to create the unique, award-winning Burleigh Black Giraffe® beer.
Combining 100kgs of 100% Rainforest Alliance Zarraffa’s Coffee beans with Burleigh’s own lager, we invite you to try our locally produced, rich and flavoursome black coffee lager.
Burleigh Brewing describes its ‘black coffee lager’ as perfectly- balanced espresso-bitter and lager-smoothness, with undercurrents of chocolate and toffee, rounded out with mocha.
Each sip of Burleigh Black Giraffe® is like drinking an espresso while being enticed into a pub. Its malt, tang and smoky finish captures how a vanilla bean cigar might taste before a long black. Lager yeast eats more of the available sugars in the brew and results in a less sweet, crisper taste. It’s an exciting fusion of two local brews.
